Tallis
(Jewish Prayer Shawl)
The Tallit (Tallis) is a prayer shawl. It is rectangular-shaped with fringes called Tzitzit on each of the four corners.
The purpose of the garment is to hold the Tzitzit. It can be any size.
The Lord said to Moses: "Tell your people to make themselves fringes on the corners of their garments. Throughout the ages, let them attach a cord of blue to the fringes that shall be your fringe to call the commandments of the Lord and observe them, so that you do not follow your heart and eyes in lustful urge - Thus you shall be reminded to observe all my commandments and to be holy to your G-d." (Numbers/5:37-41)
The Tallit is worn for morning prayers during the week as well as on Shabbat and other holy days.

I have always admired the deceptively fragile look of silk. It's delicate
simmering beauty was just like the Jewish people to me. There was great
endurance and inner strength yet a look of subtle warmth and vibrant
color.
The tallit I created for myself from this silk is a fiery sunset over
the hills of New Hampshire with a faint image of my parents in the clouds
watching me become a full member of the Jewish community.

Each tallit designed by me is unique to your requirements. Prices range from $350 to $450 depending on the amount of work involved. Each includes a matching tallit bag and kosher techelet (blue thread). A matching kippa (scull cap or yalmuke) may also be made at your request.
